Junhao Liu

I joined Nanjing University (NJU) as an assistant professor (tenure-track) in January 2026. During 2021 and 2026, I was a postdoc at East Asian Observatory (EAO) and then at National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ). I obtained Ph.D. in Astronomy from Nanjing University in March 2021. As an astronomer, my research focuses on studying interstellar magnetic fields and star formation with polarized dust emission observations using mm/submm single-dish telescopes and telescope arrays (e.g., Planck, JCMT, SMA, and ALMA). I’m also interested in research topics such as MHD + polarization radiative transfer simulation, interstellar turbulence, filamentary structures, outflows/jets, molecular clouds formation in Milky Way and nearby galaxies…
